Becky Knockemus

Becky Knockemus

As the Vice President of AmerisourceBergen’s Oncology and Specialty Navigators, Ms. Knockemus and her team address the complex needs of health systems and community oncologists in the evolving and increasingly complex oncology market. Through her leadership, her team of consultants model, design and implement solutions that optimize specialty pharmaceutical purchasing and profitability as part of a unified AmerisourceBergen oncology offering. Previously, Knockemus served as Vice President of Sales for ION Solutions, the largest supplier of oncology drugs and a wholly owned subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen. Knockemus directed the national accounts team that managed more than $6 billion in pharmaceutical contracts with community oncologists. In her more than 18 years of experience in the oncology market, she has focused on developing systems to assist community oncology with pharmaceutical management from inventory solutions to revenue cycle strategies. Knockemus has co-authored multiple articles in the healthcare industry, including, “Emerging Models in Healthcare — Changes in the Delivery of Cancer Care,” and “Tips for Successfully Navigating Health System Consolidation.” Knockemus earned a BS in political science from the University of Alabama and is a member of the Community Oncology Alliance, the Association of Community Cancer Centers and the Oncology State Society Network.

J. Cole Thurmon

J. Cole Thurmon

Cole Thurmon is Vice President of Sales for Oncology and Specialty Navigators, which keeps him focused on meeting the changing needs of cancer care providers both within the hospital setting and in outpatient/physician clinic markets. Thurmon’s work makes it easier for providers to access the medications their patients need, whether these medications are administered in a hospital or a community setting. Before his role with AmerisourceBergen’s Oncology and Specialty Navigators, he was employed in a dual capacity with AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group (ABSG), working on the development of managed care initiatives while also serving as the Director of Business Development and National Accounts for ION Solutions. His responsibilities ranged from managing the contracting relationships of GPOs/state societies, to the development of business opportunities within the oncology group at ABSG. Thurmon received his BBA in Marketing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Laurie Barton

Laurie Barton

With her 26 years of experience at AmerisourceBergen, Barton brings a wealth of knowledge regarding contracting, integrated delivery networks and the changing face of healthcare to her role as Vice President of Sales for Oncology and Specialty Navigators. Although relatively new to the specialty of oncology, Barton was instrumental in developing the oncology purchasing strategy for Scripps Health and Dignity Health. Previously, she served as Vice President of Health Systems Solutions for AmerisourceBergen Drug Company where she was responsible for new business development. Barton has a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University and holds a Graduate Certificate in Health Management and Policy.
